About McGallen & Bolden
Founded in 1991 in Singapore, McGallen & Bolden Associates is one of the most established and fastest growing publicity and training consultants around Asia.
Today, McGallen & Bolden is active worldwide as well, with representative or virtual presence in Nevada, Florida, and Melbourne. The group is incorporated in USA, as McGallen & Bolden Knowledge Inc. since 2002 for all areas of consulting work except publicity, and is represented as McGallen & Bolden PR Corporation for publicity work. The group was previously incorporated as McGallen & Bolden International Consulting Inc. since 1999 (subsequently dissolved on Feb 2004) and McGallen & Bolden Limited in Ireland (dissolved in 2003). Associates are also scattered through North and South Asia for mid- to long-term client assignments. McGallen & Bolden PR Corporation, through its Singapore office McGallen & Bolden Associates in Singapore, is also working with various PR affiliates around the world, including China PRC, Hong Kong SAR, South Korea, Thailand and Malaysia.
McGallen & Bolden has grown steadily through the years, and survived with a fair degree of success through the Asian economic crisis, while gaining some new businesses and clients. The firm attributes its continued success to a hands-on management team, highly-skilled consultants, and solid, proven intellectual capital.
Our firm is friendly and cooperative to equity partnerships with a synergistic larger group, or institutional firms interested in taking the firm public with a long-term commitment.

Investors and Associates
McGallen & Bolden, as with any private concern, wants to succeed together with our customers. In order to do that, we intend to keep our professional rates reasonable, and do everything possible to keep our budgets balanced and expenses/overheads low. We have always remained a small "boutique" consulting firm that offers top-line senior consulting knowledge and experience, with personalized service. However, we are open to having like-minded people to join us as investors (passive), or as senior equity investors. Please note that for investors or partners, this is a strictly private and confidential process and we do NOT open this to the public, and we carry out our own process.
All UNSOLICITED resumes (or CV) and attachments are DELETED from our mail server, as we do NOT accept candidates since we go through by referrals only.

Selling Advertising, Sponsorships, Products and Services?
Being a boutique consulting firm, we depend on a perfectly synergistic relationship with our valued customers, where we help each other succeed. Our past successes have been instrumental in our customers helping us spread our capabilities to other customers and prospects by positive word-of-mouth.
As such, we generally have specific marketing plans in place, and do not accept solicitations. Should we have a specific need with a specific media, we are always enlightened, knowledgeable and proactive to pursue the opportunity directly.
In addition, being Internet and world-savvy, we are fully aware of many of the products and services available out there, and generally purchase such products and services directly.
If you must do a "cold call", we are certainly open, and appreciate if you can point us to your Web site and we will certainly study your advertising, sponsorship programs, products or services whenever possible. Thank you for your kind understanding. There have been instances of very rude "cold call" salespersons calling us and wanting our directors' contacts, or that of our partners' contacts, and we will not entertain such rude calls.
WARNING - There are some touts who purport to represent APEC, United Nations, or other government and quasi-governmental organizations, and tout advertising and sponsorships in vertical "directories" that promise unbelievable results. They will call under various guises under different company names, and are ALWAYS rude and will push to speak to the highest authority in the firm. Likewise, we do NOT entertain these calls.

Open Source and Shareware Software Adoption
As a small firm running Macs (OS X primarily), we have migrated slowly and steadily to use many of the publicly available open source and shareware software applications. We maintain properly licensed commercial software such as MS Office for our small team, but progressively, for the long term, we foresee open source and shareware adoption as a logical growth path.
For example, Abiword works like any mainstream word processor and can save and edit MS Word files. Likewise, NeoOfficeJ, which is a native Mac OS X port of OpenOffice.org, offers all the word processing, spreadsheet, drawing and even presentation features, and allows the saving and editing of native MS Word, Excel and even PowerPoint files. A powerful and completely free photo and image editor is GIMP, which offers all the functionality of Adobe Photoshop. If you just need to tweak your digital camera photos, you can use the simple image and photo editor Seashore (based on GIMP with a simple interface). If you have used Macromedia Freehand or Adobe Illustrator, you would also appreciate the open source Cenon, or the reasonably priced commercial software Intaglio (US$89).
Open source software adoption allows small (or large) firms to tap on comprehensive features, without the problems of licensing and the constraints of high costs. There is some learning curve, but the end results are reasonable for budget-constrained practices. Likewise, the cheaper shareware also reduces some of the budgetary constraints.

Non-Profit Organizations
For non-profit organizations looking for sponsorships, we regret that we are a small professional services firm and therefore cannot sponsor your organization in "traditional" ways. However, we are open to helping pro bono, especially for causes and charities we believe in. These efforts are UNDISCLOSED and carried out by our own initiatives.
Qualities of a Non-Profit we look for when considering pro bono or any other help?
-
Dire need of funds, with no or little reserves
-
In need of professional expertise
-
In need of help in reaching out to public through publicity and PR
-
Especially underprivileged causes (Africa, South America, etc)
-
No prior negative action against the public or other entities of any kind (e.g. litigation, threats, unfair action, fraud, etc)
